Southwood Interventions has been serving adults throughout Chicago and Illinois by providing a full continuum of substance abuse treatment services and co-occurring disorders in both residential and outpatient settings for the past 29 years.

At Southwood, we offer a medical detox, co-occurring disorders residential programing for both men and women, a general substance abuse residential program for men and women, as well as Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient programs for men and women. Treatment is focused on the individual and facilitated through a treatment model emphasizing cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, family therapy, 12 step program participation, gender specific issues, and culturally based treatment approaches. Through our continuum of on-site services, we strive to match the intensity of service to the severity of each patient’s unique and individual needs. We are able to assist patients in transfering seamlessly from one level of care to another, to keep patients engaged in their recovery to maintain sobriety.
